Where do I even begin?
This was a crazy ride. I mean that in every possible way.
To get the bad out of the way - the format made information technology difficult at times to follow. The story had bad-mannered breaks and abrupt transitions that were not properly fabricated so often it
(please note: this book has scenes of attempted rape, discussions of rape, discussions of incest, and misogny/abuse of women up to wazoo. Too Sanghee is not what yous would consider to be "likeable" as her unabridged method of survival is manipulation)Where practise I fifty-fifty begin?

To go the bad out of the way - the format made it hard at times to follow. The story had awkward breaks and abrupt transitions that were not properly made and then often it took me a moment to catch upwards.
To put it bluntly the technical execution of this novel was utter crap.
That said the story itself was thoroughly engrossing in a soap opera train wreck mode. I really enjoyed this book. I won't lie it's hella problematic on so many levels, but I couldn't stop reading to meet HOW INSANE the plot would get. On a purely entertaining level this book won.
Soohee finds herself reborn after beingness murdered by a psycho supposedly in love with her. Born anew in a globe where a domestic dog literally and legally has more than basis to exist a citizen than a woman she vows to change the world...if just to shove King Scumbag (her new father)'s face in it.
Now known as Kim Sanghee, 33rd girl of Kim Hunsahng, King of Koryo (aka King Scumbag), she basically manipulates everyone effectually her to her advantage. Born still with the memories of 26 years on Earth, she's fucking sneaky as hell.
Wait I'd accuse of her of existence a sociopath, but I truly reserve that only for her 2nd oldest brother Kim Hwanseok (aka Royal Deviling #1) who in the last few chapters truly tin not be called homo.
There'due south a lot in here that doesn't quite connect well and really seems to but serve as a funny plot departure (similar what happens to Kim Hwanseong, her 3rd oldest blood brother likewise known as Purple Brat #2) or just disturbing every bit fuck (Freesia seems to be important...only to exist casually tossed bated after a truly horrific ordeal is visited upon her).
As well while attitudes better towards women by the end the casual violence and brutality throughout lxxx% of the book is often uncomfortable. Indeed even as perception changes towards Sanghee, near other women are treated like cockroaches still.
And then you might wonder why I rated this highly or even finished it. I can't actually reply that. I but know that despite my discomfort at times I was eager to read more of it and tossed aside four other novels to concentrate only on it for the terminal 3 days.
...more thanShowtime flavour starts off strong, the drawings are nice, the plot is strong, you wonder what she will do to alter the status of women. Well wonder no none cuz i'm telling you to drop this mess at the end of season 1.
The fine art starts changing right around and then, becomi
A world where men are actual kings, accept command of everything, and women are treated similar 2d-charge per unit (basically our earth on steroids) and the female lead has to navigate this by trying to appeal to her father (the king) and brothers.First season starts off stiff, the drawings are nice, the plot is strong, you lot wonder what she will do to change the status of women. Well wonder no none cuz i'chiliad telling you to drop this mess at the stop of flavour 1.
The art starts irresolute right effectually then, condign less detailed and just unpleasant to look at which would exist fine if the story was going somewhere. It wasn't. I could experience the plot sap my brain cells, it actually hurt to read.
